I downloaded the runscanner.exe. The size is 8k not 1.75kb. When I try to run it, I got the message it is not a valid Win32 application.

I'm using Internet Explorer 6. I have deleted cookies, deleted temporary internet files, and cleared history. I have tried downloaded the runscanner.exe many times and everytime the size of the exe is different. What is the size of the runscanner.exe? Is it really only 1.75KB or 1.75MB?

I finally downloaded it.
The problem seems to be related IE blocking. If I click Download File...option when IE displays the message To help protect your security, IE...Click here for options, the File Download screen will be shown next and the runscanner.exe will be 2.99KB in size.
To workaround, I need to click the link if not click here on your page (see below):
Thank you for downloading Runscanner. Your download should start automatically in 5 seconds. if not click here
Where should I post my log file so someone can help to check whether anything is suspicious on my computer?
Thanks,
Peter

I get the same thing. I have downloaded a few times, and the size is correct. It just will not run....not a valid win32, etc.

After reading GeertM 's reply above, I "cleaned" everything, and downloaded again. Downloaded OK, but no joy on running.
Still the "not a valid win32...etc.
EDIT: I just noticed that the one I downloaded this time is 5.5 KB, where the others we 2.something.?

Not sure what happened. But, I kept trying to download and run with IE6. Size of the file kept varying, but none would work.
Decided to try Firefox to download. Downloaded right away, and runs fine.
I note pcsql66 was also using IE6.

Strange I cannot reproduce the problem. Tried from a couple of computers with both firefox and IE (6 and 7)

Woodworker may have some type of malware on the system affecting IE - May need to visit one of the Anti-Malware sites for removal assistance.
